About

Florence Neymotin received her M.A. and her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. She also holds an M.S. in Psychology, and is currently a Professor of Decision Sciences.

She recently had the privilege of being selected to serve as a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar (Chair) in Entrepreneurship at Carleton University in Ottawa, ON, Canada, while on sabbatical from NSU. In addition to entrepreneurship, Dr. Neymotin’s research focuses on issues in applied microeconomics and health.

Dr. Neymotin has published over thirty peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Health Economics, the Journal of Economic Psychology, Review of Economic Analysis, the Economics of Education Review, Economics Bulletin, Applied Economics Letters, IZA Journal of Migration, and the Journal of Labor Research.

Her work has been internationally presented and recognized over multiple continents, and her research in education was awarded the editor’s choice in Science.

Dr. Neymotin has also received various grants and fellowships at both the local, national, and international levels, with a number of these focused on the advancement of individuals with a minority representation.
