Personal profile

About

I am a marine & environmental science library manager with over 20 years of experience working in libraries and information centers. I have worked in public library services, collection development, library administration, and reference departments over the span of my career. I started my education and career in the marine sciences, and fell in love with academic librarianship while working at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library while working on my Masters degree in Marine Biology & Coastal Zone Management at the NSU Oceanographic Center. This led me to pursue my MSLIS degree from Florida State University, with an emphasis in leadership & management and reference services. I am passionate about both marine and library science and found a career that allowed me to bring together my education and work experience in a meaningful and effective way.  At NSU, I do a lot of work with ETDs (Electronic Theses and Dissertations), not only for the NSU Halmos College, but also across all NSU dissertation granting colleges.
