Yair Solan is Assistant Professor of Literature and Film in the Department of Humanities and Politics at Nova Southeastern University. His areas of specialization include 19th & 20th century American literature and culture, film studies, and the history of media and technology. His articles have appeared in Modernism/modernity, The Journal of the Short Story in English, and Studies in American Naturalism. At NSU, Dr. Solan has taught courses in American and African American literature, the contemporary graphic memoir, and world literature, as well as courses in the department's minor in Film Studies.
